Vasai Konkani Welfare Association organised Monti Fest

Mumbai, Sept.18: Vasai Konkani Welfare Association organized it's 11th Annual Monti Fest celebration on 8th September evening at Vishwakarma Hall, Vasai West, Palghar.

 

It was a fun filled nostalgic get-together of Konkani families, both young and old. The occasion was graced by several dignitaries and past presidents of the Association, and attended by Rev Fr John Lobo and Rev. Fr Ramesh Dsouza Both the priests greeted the gathering and addressed them.

The evening had the winners of the Konkani Talent Competition performing and regaling the audience. It was compered well by the enthusiastic duo of Ms Elvita Mendonca and Ms Josna Abrew.

In between the song and dance entertainment prizes were given to all the winners of the Konkani Talent Competition as well as the achievers in Academics and Sport. All the prize winners were cheered and encouraged by those present.

The evening culminated in having a community dinner sharing the 'Novem' traditional food of rice and assorted vegetables on banana leaves. It was indeed an evening to cherish and remember by one and all.
