Mumbai, Sep 29: Vignahartha Shri Mahaganapathi Seva committee conducted 10th annual general body meeting and Sarasathotsava on 25.09.2016 Sunday at Shri Vittala Rukhumayi Temple Auditorium, Dahisar (E).
Vasanth R. Nayak – the President of the committee, Gopalkrishna R. Navelkar – the Honorary Secretary, Srinivasa Nayak – the Secretary, Bharat Kavanth - the Treasurer, Meera Navelkar – the President of Bhajana Committee and Ramesh Prabhu – the convenor, P.O. Borkar – the President of Rajapura Saraswath Association and K. Sadananda Nayak were present at the dais.
Mr. Borkar said that the procedures and development plans of executive committee are very good. So this committee should be led by Vasanth Nayak for next 3 years. Audience agreed the opinion of Mr. Borkar. However, Vasanth R. Nayak was re-elected as president for next 2 years.
Mrs. Geetha Nayak spoke about her life and said that at present a woman taking responsibilities as much as a man. But society is not giving importance to the women. She said that the bridegroom’s party should give 50% expenses during the weddings and set a good example in the society for co-living.
Babanna K. Vagle – the Trustee of Narike Shri Mahalakshmi Temple was present as the chief guest and said that service to people is service to god. Everyone should strive for the development of the society.
The members of the committee presented various types of dance. Later, ‘Miss RCB’ and ‘Mister RCB’ competitions were conducted. Kum.Shruthi Prabhu got the first place Kum. Manali Nayak got the second place in ‘Miss RCB’. Shivananda Nayak got the first place and Veeraj Kamath got the second place in ‘Mister RCB’. Vasantha R. Nayak and Gulabi V. Nayak couple got the first place and Rajesh P. Nayak and Archana R. Nayak couple got the second place in ‘Best RCB Couple’ competition.
Geetha Nayak, Rekha Navelkar and Srilatha Sevde recited the prayer. Narayana Nayak, NavinNayak and Haridasa Nayak compered the programme. Shashikanth Nayak, Madhavi Nayak, Sushanth Nayak, Praveen Nayak extended their co-operation to the success of the programme. Bharath Kamath proposed the vote of thanks.
