Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray offers condolences to Punyanagari founder Murlidhar Shingote An inspiring journey in news industry has come to an end

Mumbai, Aug 6: Stating that with demise of Punyanagari news group founder-Editor Murlidhar Shingote, an inspiring journey from a news-paper vendor to news group owner has come to a standstill, chief minister Uddhav Thackeray offered his condolences by saying that Shingote's journey would be a guiding light for many.

In his condolence message, chief minister has said that Shingote Baba was sincere and hardworking which is why he always pursued his aim of having his own news paper despite starting his journey after coming to Mumbai as a fruit seller, news paper vendor. He was witness to the Samyukta Maharshtra movement. He used the language in his news paper which was easy to understand for the common man which resulted in expansion of his group.

It was only daily in Marathi which expanded to publish dailies in other languages too. I offered my condolences to senior editor Murlidhar Shingote whose career would guide many others and his demise has seen an end of an inspiring journey in the field of news industry.
