Educational cum motivational tpur of J&K students to Mumbai 22 to 30 September 2017

A Capacity Building Tour to Maharashtra on the theme of ‘Communication & Technology’ is being conducted from 22 to 30 September 17 for the engineering students of insurgency hit J&K. The Tour to the financial capital Mumbai comprise of 15 students (8 boys and 7 girls) and two professors, accompanied by two Army Officers.

To motivate & encourage the young generation and to honour the professors, all hailing from insurgency hit area of Poonch & Rajouri Districts of J&K, General Officer Commanding Maharashtra, Gujarat & Goa Area, Lieutenant General Vishwambhar Singh invited the students & professors to his official residence the ‘Gun House’, at Colaba Military Station on 25 Sep 17. Lieutenant General along with his wife Mrs. Suman Singh interacted with the students. The General Officer, an alumnus of IIT Roorkee, shared practical tips on how to excel in studies and further enhance their career prospects, post graduation. Mrs. Suman Singh handed over memorabilia to all students & the professors.

The students presented a memento to the General Officer Commanding. During this nine days tour, students have called on the Governor, visited the Naval Dockyard, Nehru Science Center & Film City. They will also be visiting various industrial establishments in the city.
