Governor presents State Awards for Best Scouts & Guides at Raj Bhavan

Mumbai: The Governor of Maharashtra CH Vidyasagar Rao on Tuesday (22 March) felicitated the State level Best Scouts and Guides and Scouters and Guiders from across the State at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai. The Governor also felicitated the Bar to Medal of Merit Awardees on this occasion.

 

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor remarked that Maharashtra would become the cleanest state in the country if all the 15 lakh scouts and guides from the State decide to keep the State clean. He appealed to Maharashtra State Bharat Scouts and Guides to take up tree plantation activity alongside the cleanliness campaign. Complimenting the Girl Guide movement, the Governor called upon the Guides to spread the message of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ among maximum people.

President of the Maharashtra State Bharat Scout and Guide and former Minister Babasaheb Dhabekar, State Chief Commissioner B I Nagrale and other office bearers were prominent among those present on the occasion.
