Janet Lawrence Dsouza met Maharashtra Chief Minister

Mumbai (RBI), Dec.17: President of Akhil Bhartiya Christi Foundation and Former Vice Chairperson, Maharashtra State Minorities Commission Smt. Janet Lawrence Dsouza along with Darryl Dsouza president of Mumbai Unit of MMCDC and other office bearers met Hon Chief Minister Shri Eknath Shinde at his official Residence at Mumbai.

Various topics regarding reopening of Various Schmes for Minorities, Scholarship and Religious persecution were discussed. The main issue regarding this meeting was the Urgent Intervention in Clearing Confusion Over rumors about Section 144 during Christmas Masses.

CM immediately spoke to Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar (IPS) and gave orders to permit Midnight Mass and prayers in Maharashtra with full police protection.

Kindly inform your local police station in writing well in advance about the time & Christmas and New Year program arrangements for the security & cooperation.

We thank the chief minister for giving us time for a urgent meeting removing time from his busy schedule said Janet Lwarence.
