Mumbai: Ryan International School and Ryan Global School, Chembur of Mumbai joined the nation in celebrating the 69th Republic Day with great national fervour and grandeur. Unfurling of the National Flag, impressive march-past, spectacular cultural programme and prize distribution marked the celebration. Noted guests from various walks of life joined the principals of both the schools in hoisting the tri-colour and took salute during the march -past following the rendition of the national anthem by the school choir.
Dressed impeccably in their uniforms and marching in sync to the tunes of the school band, squads of RSP, School Parliament, Red Cross, Scouts and Guides, along with squads of four houses (Red, Green, Yellow and Blue) participated in an impressive parade.
Tasteful decoration of the schools with rangolies, tricolor balloons and buntings along with presence of the children waiving miniature national flags aptly complemented to the spirit of celebration.
The cultural extravaganza got off with the reading from the holy Bible and a string of soul stirring praise and worship songs by the school choir. The patriotic dance, dance with skates and musical instrument show highlighting the Indian culture and heritage performed by the students attired in most colorful costumes left the audience spell- bound. The students paid rich tribute to the leaders and founders of our democracy by recalling their contribution to our nation.
Before the flag hoisting ceremony all the guests planted saplings in the school premises and took oath along with the students to make India cleaner and greener. The cultural progrmme was interspersed with prize distributions to the winners various activities and competitions held for the occasion.
All the guests who graced the celebration were in praise for both the schools for the grand celebration of Republic Day 2018 and the holistic effort of the Ryan Group of Institutions in bringing out the talents and skills of every child under the mentorship of the Chairman of the school and the Managing . Foot tapping dance to music of closing chorus was a befitting finale to this national festival.
