The Governor of Maharashtra inaugurated an exhibition of paintings on the life and vision of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj

Mumbai June 14 :- The Governor of Maharashtra, CH Vidyasagar Rao accompanied by State Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated an exhibition of paintings on the life and vision of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at the Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai.

Maharashtra Bhushan Babasaheb Purandare under whose guidance the paintings were drawn was especially present.

The Governor and the Chief Minister were taken around the exhibition by Deepak Gore, Director of Vazifdar Builders and Head of the Painting Project.
The paintings show Shivaji Maharaj’s vision for the development of forts, ports, ships, trade and commerce.

Artists Shrikant Chowgule and Gautam Chowgule have drawn the paintings under the guidance of Babasaheb Purandare.

Phiroze Vazifdar, son of well known architect, builder and artist late Jehangir Vazifdar, whose group, Vazifdar Builders, has supported the painting project was also present. The Exhibition will remain open till 20th June.
