Bengaluru 29th October 2015: Aina Rao, the author and creator of the Ambling Indian characters, the blog & and the book; a topper from IIT Delhi and IIM Bengaluru; launches her hilarious book-Ambling Indian in Bengaluru today.

Speaking at the Launch, Aina Rao said Ambling Indian is a fun story about India that features Bollywood, IITs, IIMs, politics and more. Based on the story of Chand TV, Changa times and intriguing characters like the Mangoman, Ms Kitry Kat, Mr Chatu, Mr Bandar, Raja Chata and others, the story mirrors the fun and the joy of India. The book also includes cartoon sketches by Aina, and is a laugh-out-loud read. Since its recent release, it has already featured in Amazon Top10 Hot new releases–humor and Top 50 Fiction new releases.

Foreword by Ravi Subramanian, best-selling author, states ‘India has always been a subject of fascination. Colorful and diverse, it is not just another country but also a world of its own. This book by Aina takes the story of India, along with her own, on an uncharted path-meandering across India in a quirky, hilarious, and thought-provoking style’.

About the Ambling Indian

The Ambling Indian is a character created by Aina, much like the common man of R K Laxman, who writes a fun blog about India. She is a quirky character, another common woman, who sees and experiences India and loves it too. A character who sketches and writes about India, as she breathes it every day.

As she ambles along the lanes, bylanes, gallis and mohallas that make up much of India, there is so much that excites, intrigues, tickles, and even irritates. Is there anything to be done about all this? Absolutely not!

She revels in the confusion and enjoys the chaos that is India. Nonetheless, a germ of an idea starts to grow from somewhere, and there is a rush to put it down on paper. Maybe she will add a small tweak here, a little quirk there, many practical ideas for India!
