Archbishop’s 75th Birthday

It’s a platinum year for archdiocesan Priests, religious and lay faithful, since Archbishop of Bangalore Archdiocese, Most Rev Dr Bernard Moras, celebrated his platinum birthday on Wednesday, 10th August 2016.The platinum celebration began on Wednesday morning with a thanks giving holy Eucharist at clergy home chapel with retired and senior Priests of Archdiocese.

 

The evening platinum celebration, started with a grand solemn Eucharist at St. Francis Xavier’s cathedral, presided by Archbishop Bernard Moras and His Excellency Most Rev Salvatore Pennacchio, the Apostolic Nuncio to India along with the Bishops of Karnataka and bishop of ooty. After the Eucharistic celebration at cathedral there was splendid felicitation at Cathedral and at St.Germain High School quadrangle for Archbishop and also for nuncio an anticipated Ruby Jubilee of His Priestly Ordination that falls on 18th September, 2016.

Religious Sisters and Priests from different institutions and congregation came in large numbers for the mass and to wish and to show their love towards him and also Many VIPs from political parties and Police officials from higher rank took part in the celebration at St.Germain High school.
