Bangalore 26th December 2015 : India Arts & Gems Fair (IAGF) along with the prestigious Karnataka Art Institution, Chitrakala Parishath, and The Leela Palace Bangalore presented a modern and contemporary art fair in Bengaluru, focusing on Art and Jewellery from all over India.

The inaugural edition of the India Art and Gems Fair held from 25th December – 27th December, 2015, brought together Art, Sculpture and Jewellery across genres, media and cultures from renowned and upcoming artists, twenty select Art Galleries as well as select leading jewellers. The exposition included solo projects during the three-day event, which will see fashion shows, live painting and dances.


Speaking at the Inaugural Edition of India Arts and Gems Fair – Meena Das Narayan – founder of IAGF said, “"IAGF 2015 (India Arts & gems Fair) is for the artist, art aficionados, collectors. Based purely on Art for Art's sake, this fair was conceived with the intention of helping artists to market their art directly to people without the hassles of paying for space and giving heavy commissions. Out of 70 artists, we selected the best and invited them to participate in the fair. Next year we plan to double the number of artists to 100 and open the fair to international artists as well”.

Participating artists are Chandranath Acharya, JMS Mani, Vimal Nath, Amit Bhar, Ganapati Hegde, Amit Kalla, Nandini Varma, Abdullah pathan, S.Rajesh, Ramamurthy, Saraswati, G.Subramaniam, Sunita Varma, Sadanandan, BKS Verma, Devi Priya, Iyaz Ahmed, Praveen Kumar, Bhaskar Rao, Ankur Singla, Dalip Chandolia, Vipul Mittal, V.M.Jiju Lal, Aloke Sharma, Ravindra and Savithri Savla, Prof. Jayakumar Reddy, Sayam Bharat Yadav, Dr Sunita Patil, Suresh Andamar, Babu Jattakar, Srinivas Acharya, Narasimha Prakash, Rishi Kapil, Surbhi Soni, Meena Das Narayan and Umesh Babu.

A Honorary Board of Leading Artists, Corporates and Institutions from across the country, will play an integral role in strengthening the Fair as a key forum, where art and jewellery aficionados and enthusiasts can cultivate awareness and appreciation for contemporary art, and, in the process, reinforce the role of Bengaluru as the newest cultural destination of India. This unique event will represent the works of established and emerging artists from across the country.

Bengaluru stands at the crossroads of Arts and Crafts and engenders an appreciation of all things related to Arts andJewellery. You can experience the beauty of the City of Bengaluru through its creative arts in December, when the city is at its best. The annual India Arts & Gems Fair (IAGF) will be a one-stop destination for art-lovers from all over the world, hoping to see or acquire some of the finest of artwork and gems. The IAGF will be showcasing artists, Sculptors as well as an elite group of jewellers, who would be presenting their most exquisite masterpieces.


All set to attract the cream of the Indian diaspora, IAGF will be a venue where art-lovers and collectors gently rub elegantly-clad elbows with art-dealers of international renown in the sophisticated and palatial premises of The Leela Palace Bangalore.

The idea of forming the India Arts & Gems Fair was conceived from a dream to create an event, in which the beauty of the objects displayed would match the aesthetic expectations of the people visiting the exhibition. The intention is to pay homage to art that speaks through the latest works of artists and jewellers, who would vie with each other to showcase their creativity at its best. Participating jewellers are Entice, C.Krishnaiah Chetty and K Jewels from Delhi. Each piece of jewellery on display would have a story to tell, linking its inspiration to art.

At the annual Fair exquisite pieces of art, jewellery and collectibles of museum quality will be exhibited to give visitors an over-view of what is happening in the world of art; dealers will get to talk about their collections and share their expertise; artists can interact closely with their fans and critics; and jewellers will display some of the finest examples of their forte.
