President of India felicitates Mrs. Grace Pinto among 100 Women Achievers…

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee felicitated Mrs. Grace Pinto, Managing Director, Ryan International Group of Institutions during a lunch hosted for 100 women achievers on January 22, 2016 at Rashtrapati Bhavan on the first anniversary of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme. Mrs. Pinto was selected among ‘100 Women Achievers’ by the Women and Child Development (WCD) union ministry for her commendable contribution in the field of education in the country.

 

The Union Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) had launched the ‘#100Women Initiative’ to recognise women who made a difference in their communities in various fields such as education, arts and culture, environment, healthcare etc. The process involved a contest to select 100 women achievers through public nominations via social media.

Having received the honor for being among the top women achievers in India, Mrs. Grace Pinto said, “I greatly commend the efforts of Ministry of Women and Child Development to empower women in our country and recognize their contribution in the country. I thank the Hon’ble President for bestowing this honor and am grateful to our Lord Jesus Christ for this recognition. I dedicate this award to all my Ryan staff, parent community and well wishers. We will continue our efforts to make quality education accessible in every part of our country in order to empower the youth of nation.”
