Republic Day Celebration enthusiasm at St. Xavier’s High School, Borivali (East

Republic Day was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm at St. Xavier’s High School, Borivali (East) on 26th January 2020. The celebration was witnessed by eminent dignitaries and students of the school. There was a sense of patriotism in the air and National Pride was seen on everyone’s face.

The flag was hoisted by Mr. Dattaram Govind Naik (Retired Air Force officer) and the National Anthem was sung along with the Patriotic songs. March past squads of the school displayed their discipline and co-ordination. The Band display enthralled the audience. The programme comprised of Lord’s Prayer, Bible Reading, Special Prayer, Welcome speech and song, Felicitation of guests, Patriotic Speeches, Patriotic Song Singing, Vote of thanks, School Anthem and National Song.

The eminent guests who graced the occasion were: Mr. Dattaram Naik (Service in Indian Air Force from 1971 till 1986), Ms. Rachna Bhimrajka (C.A. and C.S), Mr. Navin Pandey (Producer and Editor of INS TV News Channel) and Mr. Shivkumar Yadav (Sub Editor, Mumbai Amardeep Ratna News Paper).

All the winners of the various competitions held for Republic Day were also awarded with certificates.

The guests appreciated the effort of the Management and the school authorities for arranging a wonderful programme and make the day a grand success.

The programme concluded with the tree plantation ceremony. Chocolates were distributed to the students and they were wished on behalf of our Respected Chairman Sir and Managing Director Madam.

The Republic Day celebration was a memorable one for all.
