Strides for Autism is an awareness event to support the earnest attempt of an organization, Assisted Living For Autistic Adults (ALFAA) committed to spreading knowledge about Autism, providing state-of-the-art residential facilities and dignified living to Autistic adults. Autism is a very complex and challenging neuro developmental disorder which has no ascertained cause or cure, which essentially means that persons affected need lifelong supervision and care. Generally, grooming is needed from an early age to help them perform daily routines normally. Most of the autistic adults have very limited social and communication skills, so need trained people who understand their needs and can help to address them.

"To keep pace with other things and in the same line of activity with a multi-pronged benefit and target area, ALFAA is conducting Marathon with a Difference. We wish to show the world, especially, the Ad Industry and the corporate houses that these children, despite their disability, can be lifted to their highest potentials by proper training and guidance. says Ruby Singh, Director of ALFAA

To this end, ALFAA in partnership with Anugraha Trust has recently launched “Anugraha ALFAA Residential Campus”, a respite-cum rehabilitation- with training and assisted living care, residential campus for adults with Intellectual Developmental Disorders that are covered under the NATIONAL TRUST ACT

Through this event, ALFAA wants to reach out to people to help make this campus better for its residents. The campus needs SENSORY GYMNASIUM, HYDRO THERAPEUTIC SWIMMING POOL and AN ADULT USE PARK which won't be possible without generous support of its patrons. Please do participate in this event to make ALFAA's dream a reality - We need your support!
