Thumbay Group Wins Procurement Best Practice Appreciation Award

Thumbay Group, the Dubai-based international business conglomerate with operations across 14 sectors of business, has bagged the prestigious “Procurement Best Practice Appreciation Award”. At a glittering function at the 3rd International Procurement & Supply Chain Conference (IPSC 2016) held at Atlantis The Palm – Dubai on Saturday, 16th April 2016, Mr. Zainul Abideen C.K., Manager – Purchase & Inventory received the award on behalf of Thumbay Group.

The awards are given annually, to recognize leadership and best practices in the fields of procurement & supply chain, from amongst companies in the region. The awards are the highlight of the International Procurement & Supply Chain Conference organized by Blue Ocean Training & Consultancy, which is a one-day conference to get together heads of supply chain and procurement and important policy-makers from the region who have played a crucial role in transforming UAE into the leading supply chain hub it is today, who will analyze contemporary trends and pave the foundation for future innovation.

Congratulating his team for winning the award, Mr. Thumbay Moideen, the Founder President of Thumbay Group said that this was yet another moment of pride, for the Group. “We are honored by this recognition, and I am sure that it will motivate us to continue maintaining high standards of operations and service delivery,” he added.

Mr. Zainul Abideen, Manager – Purchase & Inventory of Thumbay Group said that Thumbay Group was following a technology-driven, proactive and sustainable system of procurement. “Our procurement system is transitioning into e-procurement, towards strategic sourcing,” he explained.

More than 650 delegates comprising of professionals from the fields of purchase, procurement, commercial and supply chain attended the awards function, which was also represented by senior management personnel from over 450 organizations in the region.
