Shanghai, (IANS): Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal, who was unexpectedly eliminated from the Shanghai Masters after going down to Serbia's Viktor Troicki, admitted that he is not in his best physical shape.
At a news conference following the match on Wednesday, Nadal said: "I need to recover the forehand. I know I need to hit forehands."
The Spaniard admitted his physical problems that left him in midyear out of tournaments like Wimbledon, Toronto and London, reports Efe.
"I need to recover a little bit the electricity in my legs. I need to move faster to hit more forehands. I need to create pain for my opponent," he added.
Nadal, who lost 3-6, 6-7 (3-7) to crash out from the second round of the tournament, had words of praise for Troicki, saying the Serb deserved to win more than he did.
