India slips one spot in FIFA rankings

New Delhi,(PTI) Indian football team slipped one place to be at 130th in the latest FIFA rankings issued today.

Despite not playing any international match during the past month, India gained one aggregate point -- 244 as against 233 last month -- by virtue of one earlier game falling out of the four year period considered for the rankings.

Still, India lost one spot to be placed between Surinam (129th) and Dominican Republic (131st). India are now ranked 20th among the Asian countries.

Iran continued to lead the chart of Asian countries at 32nd, followed by South Korea (39th), Japan (52nd), Australia (54th) and Saudi Arabia (56th).

In overall rankings, Argentina are on top, followed by Brazil, Germany, Chile, Belgium.
