Medal drought continues on Day 3 for India at Wrestling Worlds

Paris, (IANS): For the third consecutive day, none of the Indian wrestlers impressed as all four players -- Lalita, Pooja Dhanda, Shilpi, Pooja -- lost their respective matches to bow out of the World Championships here on Wednesday.

In the 55 kilogram category, Lalita lost to Mariia Gurova of Russia 0-3, while Pooja Dhanda was thrashed 8-12 by Ningning Rong of China in the 58 kg category.

In the 63 kg category, Shilpi suffered a crushing 0-10 defeat to Orkhon Purevdorj of Mongolia while in the 75 kg category, Pooja was beaten 0-7 by Justina Di Stasio of Canada.
