Sehwag added to CAB's felicitation list during India-Pakistan match

Published On : 16 Mar 2016

Kolkata, (IANS): The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) will felicitate legendary batsman Virender Sehwag during the India vs Pakistan World T20 match on March 19 alongside others greats of the game.

Sehwag, Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, Imran Khan, Waqar Younis, Wasim Akram and Intikhab Alam would be handed over mementoes prior to the start of the high-voltage game that is expected to draw huge crowds at the iconic Eden Gardens ground.

Former India captain Rahul Dravid, who was earlier scheduled to attend the match, has chosen not to be here.

"We plan to felicitate four legends each from India and Pakistan. We will be giving them mementoes at around 6 in the evening just before the start of the game. Now that Dravid isn't coming we will felicitate Virender Sehwag," a senior CAB official told IANS.

The tickets for the much-awaited clash are in hot demand, and Eden is expected to be filled to capacity for the match.
