Kasargod: In a tragic incident, one person died in a Truck–car collision at NayammarMoole in Kasargod on Saturday. The deceased is Ahmed Afzal (23) resident of Nullippady.
Afzal had completed his engineering in LBS College, Povval last year. He was the brother of Mohammed Hashim, journalist of ’Deshabhimani’ Malayalam daily in Kasargod. Vinod (24) of Periyatadka and Nasruddin (26) of Puttige are the two injured.
The accident occurred as Afzal, Viond and Nasruddin were on their way back from railway station. The car they were travelling collided head on with the goods truck plying towards Mangaluru. Due to the impact of the collision Afzal died on the spot and other two who sustained injuries were been shifted to Hospital by locals.
