Bantwal: In an unfortunate incident, a 45-year-old woman died after her veil accidentally got entangled in a grinder that was in operation. The deceased is Alimamma (45), wife of Abbas, an auto rickshaw driver living at Kolambe near Kambalabettu.
There was no one at home when Alimamma began to grind masala with grated coconut in her grinder. Unknown to her, her veil accidentally got stuck in the grinder as a result of which she was she got twirled violently.The woman shouted for help at which some neighbours came there, rescued her, and admitted her into a private hospital at Puttur.
But without responding to treatment, she breathed her last. She has left behind two sons and a daughter.
