Kundapur: A 55-year-old person lost his life after an auto rickshaw tumbled off the road near Alandur on Shirur-Toodalli road near Byndoor on Friday June 17.
The victim has been identified as Rama Marathi (55), who was travelling in the three wheeler. When the auto rickshaw went wayward at the road bend here, Marathi suffered deep injuries when the vehicle came to a complete stop after forcibly hitting a tree. He lost his life before medical help could be extended.
Driver of the vehicle, Raju Marathi, and another passenger, Shankarappa, were injured in this incident. Both of them were admitted into a private hospital in the town.
