Udupi: A 65-year-old woman jumped into a well and ended her life. The incident occurred at Sampige Nagara, Udyavar here on Friday August 19.
The deceased is Shanta Shetty. She was suffering from multifarious ailments including high blood pressure and diabetes. She had come to the house of her son at Udyavar a few days back.
Her worries about her illnesses were weighing down on her mind heavily. Her husband had died a few years back. Shanta is survived by a son and a daughter.
