Alva’s College, Moodbidri, has bagged the overall championship in the inter-collegiate cultural competitions of Mangalore University for 2017-18. Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheswara College, Ujire, and Vivekananda College, Puttur, came second and third overall.
There were competitions in the categories of literature, fine arts, music, theatre and dance. Students who came first and second in these categories are eligible to participate in the south zone ‘Yuvajanotsava’, which will be conducted in October-November, and later in the national-level cultural competitions of the universities.
The competitions were conducted at Rosario College, Mangaluru; SDM College, Ujire; St. Philomena College, Puttur; Bhuvanendra College, Karkala; and Alva’s College, Moodbidri.
