Mangaluru: The Bearys Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) will be conducting a seminar on Goods and Services Tax (GST) on March 7 at 4.30 pm at IMA Hall, near Noor Mosque, Hampankatta.
GST is soon going to be a very integral part of all business transactions. It is a proposed system of indirect taxation in India merging most of the existing taxes into a single system of taxation. Merging of several central and state taxes into a single tax would mitigate cascading or double taxation, facilitating a common national market. The simplicity of the tax should lead to easier administration and enforcement.
S M Rasheed Haji, president of BCCI will preside over the seminar. Interaction and questions and answer session will be held at the end.
