Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Central Crime Branch (CCB) police busted a cricket betting racket by arresting two persons and seized Rs. 2.06 lakh in cash from them.
CCB police on getting information about betting during India–Australia test match, raided Montero House at Chembugudde in Ullal police limits. The team arrested Alwyn Kiran Montero, 23, and Kishore D’souza, 39, a resident of Pilar. The team also seized seven mobile phones, a tablet computer, two laptops, and betting entry books.
CCB inspector Shantharam, Ullal police inspector Gopikrishna and police sub-inspectors Shyamsundar and Kabbalraj led the team.
