Drugs awareness campaign organized at Lourdes Central School

Mangaluru: “Students have to study with enthusiasm and inculcate good values in life. They have to shape a bright future by not falling prey to drug menace," said Fr Wilson Whitus D'Souza, parish priest of Bejai church. He was speaking after inaugurating a drugs awareness campaign organised at Lourdes Central School.

Speaking on the occasion, Sudhir Hegde, district assistant police commissioner, who was felicitated on the occasion said, "Students must help the needy and helpless by doing police’s duty with enthusiasm."

Yogish Kumar, inspector, anti-corruption bureau and Manjunath, inspector, traffic department, Suratkal north were the resource persons.

Students had interaction on the subject with Udaya Nayak, assistant police commissioner, Mangaluru central, Uma Prashanth, assistant police commissioner, crime department, Maruthi Nayak, inspector, Kadri police station.

Robert D'Souza, principal, Belita Mascarenhas, vice-principal, and Dr Vasudeva Pai, vice-president, parent teacher association were present on the occasion. Abner Pinto, school pupil leader welcomed the guests and Nidhi M rendered the vote of thanks. Due co-operation was extended by Navya Bhandary, Linet D'Souza, Deepa D'Souza, Harshita Shetty and Ivan D'Souza.
