Kundapur: A fisherman fell into the river during fishing and lost his life on Friday September 23. The victim has been identified as Babu Mogaveera (45) from Garjihithlu in Yadthare village near Byndoor.
When undertaking fishing, Mogaveera accidentally fell into the river. As he was entangled in the net, he could not free himself although he struggled to save himself. Those who saw his plight rushed to his rescue, brought him out of water and took him to Byndoor hospital. However, he died on the way.
A complaint of unnatural death stands registered about this incident in Byndoor police station.
