Mangaluru: Heavy rains accompanied by strong winds uprooted a heavy tree at Aithappa Shetty compound at Hampankatta on Sunday morning. Two houses were damaged. A compound wall too has suffered damage.
However luckily no one was injured. The impact could have been worst, but due to god's grac e, there was no casuality reported.
Fire service personnel rushed to the spot and removed the tree branches. Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath too visited the spot.
