Udupi: The sports division of Nitte educational institute has scheduled K S Hegde memorial south zone basketball tournaments for men and women from March 23 to 25.
The tournaments will be inaugurated by former basketball sports star Rashmi Yathiraj in B C Alva memorial indoor stadium of Nitte campus. Nitte deemed to be university pro chancellor N Vishal Hegde will be the guest of honour. Nitte campus registrar will preside over the programme.
S R M University, 400 from nineteen men's teams and ten women's teams including from Pavai engineering college, Erode builders engineering college, Calicut engineering college and Tiruvanantapuram engineering college will take part in the tournaments.
