Mangaluru: All India Council for Technical Education has given approval to Laxmi Memorial Education Trust for starting the ’AJ Institute of Engineering and Technology’. It is proposed to have mechanical engineering, computer science and engineering, civil engineering , electronics and communication Engineering and information science and engineering branches.
The institution is expected to open from the academic under 2016-17 under the leadership of president of LMET A J Shetty. The institution is located in the heart of city connected to NH-66 at Kottara Chowki. The institution will be headed by principal Dr Shantharama Rai.
The institution will have special features like industry-institute interaction for internship and student projects, effective monitoring and counseling for students, internet facility in the whole campus with 100 Mbps with OFC link, well-stocked library with international journals and e-learning through digital library and more.
