Mangaluru: Mithun Rai has been suspended from the post of District Youth Congress President for placing personal interests above party interests. All India Youth Congress General Secretary and Karnataka Youth Congress in-charge Ravindra Das has passed an order to this effect. A total of 10 youth Congress chiefs of different districts, eight secretaries and a vice president has been suspended for not actively involved in party work, for not responding to notice and for not attending party meetings
Mithun Raiwas an aspirant for a party ticket from Moodbidri constituency during the previous elections was disappointed after Abhayachandra was given a ticket. It was alleged that he was involved in anti party activities since then.
Mithun said he could not attend the October 19 meeting due to Navaratri. He said he will reply to the notice and claimed that he had attended the meeting held at Jaipur.
