Mangaluru: A Kasargod resident was detained at Mangaluru International Airport after he was found in possession of five live bullets. The detained is Muhammed Shafeeq. He had arrived at the airport to board a Jet Airways flight to New Delhi airport along with family members.
However, airport personnel found live bullets in the bag Shafeeq was carrying during the screening process and he was handed over to the Bajpe police.
On questioning, Shafeeq informed that he had inadvertently carried the bag belonging to his father who possesses a licensed gun. The Bajpe police having verified his claim produced him before the court where he was granted bail.
