Puttur: A man from Puttur has been arrested for killing his own wife, chopping her body into 15 pieces and then dumping the remains in a canal at Hosapete in Bellary.
The incident which took place on February 19 came to light only after 50 days, after the police arrested the accused based on the complaint of his wife’s brother. Until then the accused Chandrahas (27) of Puttur Anavumoole had made everyone believe that his wife had gone missing while he had actually murdered her.
Chandrahas who worked in a textile shop at Hosapete eight years ago had fallen in love with Bharathi of Hampi who too was working in the same shop and had married her. After marriage he had opened his own textile shop.
