Udupi: Nagappa C Putran (78), a retired lawyer residing in Shewta Residency near Padubidri committed suicide by hanging himself at his home on Tuesday November 1.
Nagappa chose to kill himself when his wife had gone away on some work. The reasons that drove him to take this extreme step are not yet known.
A case of unnatural death was filed in Padubidri police station relating to this incident.
