Udupi: Rural development minister Krishna Byre Gowda hit out at PM Narendra Modi and NDA governmnet over allocation of funds for floods. “Regarding financial assistance for flood affected areas, state government is trying its best to provide help. So far we have not received any response regarding financial assistance from the central government,” he blamed.
“The chief minister of Karnataka H D Kumaraswamy has taken all relief measures for flood affected people of Hassan and surrounding places along with our department. H D Kumaraswamy held a meeting last week and decided to submit a memorandum to the central government in this regard. People expected that the central government will immediately help them. But no help was received. We will do our duty in managing the natural calamity in Madikeri. The union government should not show step-motherly attitude towards Karnataka. It should not play politics,” he said.
