Sullia: A 21-year-old, who had come to view the Kalyala waterfall at the taluk border, died after slipping and falling into the precipice of the waterfall on Wednesday September 16. The deceased has been identified as Harshit Naik from Eshwaramangala in the taluk.
Harshit was accompanied by a group of friends during this visit. He was taking a selfie with the waterfall in the background, when he slipped and fell down from atop the hillock. He had suffered serious injuries. He was provided preliminary treatment in the town before referring to a hospital in Mangaluru for advanced care.
Harshit however, died when being taken to Mangaluru.
