Mangaluru: In a press release it is sated that St. Aloysius College, Mangaluru in association with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai will be organizing seminar on ’Applications of Radiation Technology’, on September 20, 2016 at 9.00 a.m. at Fr L.F Rasquinha Hall, LCRI, St. Aloysius College, Mangaluru campus. The following scientists from BARC will elaborate on the various applications of nuclear energy in diverse fields like biology, medicine, plants, agriculture and food processing, water security, industrial and societal applications.
Key participants are Dr. R. R. S. Yadav, Former, Director, Reactor Projects Group and Director Engg. Services, Dr. K. B. Sainis, Former Director, Biomedical Group, Dr. Gursharan Singh, Former, Associate Director, Radiochemistry and Isotope Group, Dr. S. F. D’Souza, Former Associate Director, Biomedical Group, Dr. P. K. Tewari, Former Associate Director, Chemical Technology Group. The seminar will conclude with a panel discussion and interaction with the students.
