Bengaluru: BJP MP Shobha Karandlaje suffered bruises on her hand and legs when the police forcibly evicted her from the Freedom Park where the BJP leaders had gathered to take out the Mangaluru Chalo bike rally, on Tuesday.

"We have the right to protest, and we were agitating, peacefully, even though the police denied us permission to hold the bike rally. But they forcefully evicted us from the Freedom Park. They pulled us, pushed us and dragged us from the ground. This left my arms and legs with severely bruised," Shobha Karandlaje said.

She said that this would not deter her from the BJP’s mission to hold the Mangaluru Chalo rally. The BJP Yuva Morcha is holding the Mangaluru Chalo, bike rally to condemn the killings of Hindu leaders in Karnataka and seeking a ban on KFD, PFI and resignation of Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister Ramanath Rai.
