Special train between Vasai Road and Mangaluru Jn.

Mangaluru (The Hindu): The Railways will operate a special train between Vasai Road and Mangaluru Junction to clear the extra rush of passengers during the Ganesha festival.

Press releases from Southern and Konkan Railway said that Vasai Road- Mangaluru Junction special trains would leave Vasai Road at 1.45 p.m. on September 11, 16 and 26 to reach Mangaluru Junction at 11 a.m. the following day in that order.

The Mangaluru Junction-Vasai Road special train would leave Mangaluru Junction at 6 p.m. on September 12, 17 and 27 to reach Vasai Road at 1p.m. the following days.

The special train would have eight sleeper-class and eight unreserved coaches and two brake-vans.

The train would stop at Panvel, Roha, Madgaon, Veer, Ked, Chipun, Savarda, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Advali, Rajapur, Vaibhavwadi, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Swantwadi, Thivim, Madgaon, Karwar, Kumta, Bhatkal, Udupi and Suratkal.

Mangaluru Junction-Vasai Road special train leaving Mangaluru Junction on September 12 would be run as ordinary special under No. 00120, while its services on September 17 and 27 would be at special fares (Tatkal) under No. 00116.

The services of Vasai Road-Mangaluru Junction special train would be run under No. 00115.


The special train would have eight sleeper-class and eight unreserved coaches as well as

two brake-vans
