Mangaluru: Thieves entered a house at Padupanambur near Haleyangady and decamped with gold and cash. The thieves entered the house of Fakhruddin by breaking open both the front and back doors and broke the locker of the cupboard and took the golden chain, bangles, bracelet, finger ring and earrings. The total worth of these items is said to be Rs 1.57 lac.
Fakhruddin and his family had been to his mother-in-law's house in Kinnigoli. The robbers took the advantage of this. After stealing the gold, the thieves entered the room adjacent to the room in which the gold was kept and took Rs 7000 in cash, a DVD player that was left on the table and passbook and ATM card from the drawer.
The police from Mulky station visited the house along with the fingerprint experts.
