Published On : 26 Dec 2018

Mangaluru: District in-charge minister U T Khader demanded Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) investigation into the Rafale scam deal. U T Khader said, "A lot of questions are being asked by the public about Rafale deal which have remained unanswered. A JPC probe must be undertaken so that truth will be revealed. What was the intention behind handing over the contract of fighter planes to Reliance which has not produced even a plastic fighter plane ahead of HAL? MPs from all political parties will be part of JPC so there will no scope of furnishing false documents like how they did at the Supreme Court to get clean chit.”

U T Khader said, "The District Working Journalist Union has come up with a Grama Vastavya project or Village Stay project in which they will visit most backward villages in the district along with several senior officials in the administration. This time, journalists visited Kuthlur village near Beltangady and a lot of problems came to light. A few were sorted out and remaining which have to be cleared, will be sorted out at the earliest.”

Khader handed over Rs 5,000 each to six journalists who were part of the Grama Vastavya project.
