Mangaluru: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Bajrang Dal staged a protest at Kadri Mallikatta Circle on Friday to condemn the insult meted out by Pakistani authorities to Kulbhushan Jadhav’s wife and mother when the latter had been to Islamabad to meet the former who is facing death sentence on charges of spying.
Speaking on the occasion, VHP District President Jagadish Shenava said, "The act of Pakistan officials in asking the wife and mother of Jadhav to remove their bindi, bangles, mangalasutra and footwear and also forcing them to change clothes is highly condemnable. They are testing our patience. It is high time, they stop in these cheap politics."
The protestors raised anti-Pakistan slogans and even burnt the Pakistan flag.
