Puttur: A motor bike met with an accident, causing the death of its young rider. The bike rider lost his life in the accident instantly, while the pillion rider survived with serious injuries.
Both the persons travelling by the ill-fated two-wheeler were on pilgrimage to Dharmasthala. Anil Kumar (26), who was riding the motor bike, died in the accident. Puneeth suffered serious injuries. Anil was the son of Ranganna. Anil, employed in a private firm at Bengaluru, had married a month back.
The rider lost control over the motor bike as Hosamajalu, Nelyady, both fell into the roadside storm drain along with the two-wheeler.
Anil, who suffered critical injuries in the accident, breathed his last at the spot. Puneeth stands admitted into a private hopsital at Mangaluru.
