Moodbidri: A young man hacked his girl friend on Friday. The girl is identified as Charishma Poojary(20). She succumbed to the injuries in a Moodbidri private hospital later.
The man named Lohith committed suicide after stabbing Karishma. Charishma was in their rented house near Pranthya on Friday. Her boyfriend Lohith who is related to her and staying in Bajal in Mangaluru had come there. Charishma was alone in the house then.
Lohith stabbed the girl on the neck and hit on her head with a hammer. He later committed suicide in the house by hanging. The girl died in the hospital without responding to treatment.
Modbidri police are investigating the case.
