Humanities Association inaugurated at Milagres PU College, Kallianpur

Udupi : The students should develope communication skills, writing skills, hardwork etc., to achive success in their studies as well as future endeavours, said Prof. Surendranath Shetty Kokkarne resource person of the day in his inaugural address on Humanities Association of Milagres Pre University College on Wednesday, 29th July, 2015 at Milagres College Silver Jubilee Hall at Kallianpur.

He said there will be no such differences in arts, commerce or science branches while in the sense of success of the students career.

The programme started with an invocation by Raphael and group. Florine D’Silva gave introduction on the resource person. Rev Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves, Principal of the college presided and gave presiding address. Humanities Association officials were present on the dais.

Akshay welcomed the gathering. Chaitra proposed vote of thanks. Jestin Erol D’Silva compered the programme.

Udupi: Humanities Association was inaugurated at Milagres Pre-University College, Kallianpur on 21st July, 2016 at Milagres Silver Jubilee Hall.

The programme started with invocation prayer. Mrs. Savitha Kumari, Principal of Milagres PU College presided over the programme. Prof. Vincent Alva inaugurated the Humanities Association by lighting the lamp.

In his inaugural address, the resource person of the day, Prof. Vincent Alva pointed out the scope and importance of the Arts students. He said Schools and colleges are the temple of learning which we should love our learning institution. We should understand the humanities with a range of disciplines through the college or elsewhere. Humanities Association should support the application of the humanities to the human environment with particular attention to reflect our diverse heritage, traditions and history and to the relevance of the humanities to the current conditions of the national life.

Mrs. Florine D’Silva, Convener of the Humanities Association welcomed the gathering. Renson Mascarenhas proposed vote of thanks and Joyce D’Souza compered the programme. Mrs. Florine D’Silva and officials of the Humanities Association were present.
