“Prevention is not waiting for bad to happen. It’s preventing things from happening in the first place”

India is currently running through a major crisis of COVID-19 which has hit the lives of lakhs. This is a battle we need to fight together and try to prevent the spread of CoronaVirus. Preventing ourselves from the current pandemic situation is the important necessity of the hour.

Considering the safety measures of its staff ,MCC bank Ltd symbolically distributed N95 mask and Hand Sanitiser to their entire staff on May 4 at head office.

Dakshina Kannada Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Society Praveen S Naik handed over the first Mask and Sanitizer to the chairman Anil lobo, then to the General Manager Sunil Menezes followed by the staff.

Praveen Naik while addressing the staff urged them to be very careful in the current scenario. He said that in the current situation we need to have positive thoughts in us. We live in a country where we find different types of people, various religions and different cultures. We need to stand and fight this pandemic together.

He mentioned that we need to keep ourselves very clean and neat. Avoid shaking hands or hugging.

He also urged all the staff to get themselves vaccinated. So that we can prevent ourselves from getting the disease. Dakshina Kannada and Udupi have a lot of traditional medicines which were found ages ago. He encouraged to make use of these medicines which can keep us healthy. Let’s avoid unhealthy food.

In the end he urged everyone to fight the battle of COVID-19 together to come out of this pandemic very soon. Till then let’s all remain happy and stay safe.

Chairman Anil lobo while addressing he said, currently we are in a very dangerous situation, but we need not panic. I personally observed in many hospitals many doctors and nurses attend and treat a lot of COVID patients wherein they only use N95 mask which keeps them very safe. In that view we have decided to give N95 mask to all our staff. Banking comes under Essential Services Maintenance Act and bankers are also considered as warriors.

We need not worry about the current situation rather we need to bring awareness in our society. We need to give first priority to our health. If we ourselves don’t take care of our health we need to think that we have someone else who is dependent on us. In the current state let’s try to help each other and be an example in someone’s life. Let everyone have in our mind that prevention is better than cure and all together we can win this war against the pandemic, till then let’s remain safe.

General Manager Sunil Menezes proposed the vote of thanks. Credit Manager and Recovery Officer Deril Lasrado compered the program.

Safety kit was distributed to all the staff of MCC Bank Ltd including Jewel appraisers, housekeeping staff and pigmy collectors. Staff of head office, Bank advisors and staff of the founder's branch were present during the distribution.
