Published On : 13 Dec 2018

Udupi: Deputy commissioner of the district, Priyanka Mary Francis, said that start-up centre, where all information as well as guidance and assistance would be made available to set up new enterprises in the district will begin functioning in association with the department of industries within a month.

She was speaking after inaugurating a programme to extend information about credit facilities being extended by Karnataka State Finance Corporation (KSFC) which was organised under the joint aegis of KSFC and district industries centre here for facilitating development of industrial and service sectors.

She further observed that certain institutions have already been extending employment oriented training here, but the youngsters get only the traditional trainings which have not undergone any improvements since long. Several people have started industries after getting this kind of training, but the profitability of these entities is comparatively less. Therefore, the youth should get training about starting of industries with new concepts and ideas.
