‘Global Cancer Summit – 20¬15’ to be held in Bangalore

Bangalore, 16th November 2015: ‘Global Cancer Summit-2015’, A 3-day program focused on understanding, comprehending and suggesting strategies to tackle Cancer, will be organized from 18th- 20th November 2015 at J.N.Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore. This event is being organized by BioGenesis – The Euro-Indian Health Cluster (India), Global Cancer Foundation and supported by Indian Council of Medical Research (Government of India).

The Conference will be inaugurated by His Excellency Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala - the Governor of Karnataka. Other dignitaries present will include Mr. M. N. Venkatachaliah - Former Chief Justice of India, Mr. Siddaramaiah - Chief Minister of Karnataka, Mr. Venkaiah Naidu - Union Minister for Urban Development, Govt of India, Mr. Jagat Prakash Nadda - Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Govt of India, Mr. T. B. Jayachandra – Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs, Govt of Karnataka, Mr. U. T. Kader – Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Mr. Dinesh Gundurao – Minister for Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Govt of Karnataka.

Over 700 experts from the field on Oncology and co-related sectors are expected to be a part of the 3-day International Collaborative Conference. The “Global Cancer Summit-2015” is the brainchild of Dr. V. P. Rao, Chairman, BioGenesis – The Euro-Indian Health Cluster (India).

The Event is dedicated as a tribute to Late. Edward Moore "Ted" Kennedy, for his tireless fight against cancer and being the force behind the knowledge of cancer today. 5 Doctors from across the world who have contributed immensely in experiential, translational and clinical cancer research will be awarded the prestigious ‘Edward Kennedy Memorial Award’ during the Summit.

The “Global Cancer Summit-2015” is a unique forum that will bring together researchers and clinicians to foster & increase knowledge, stimulate research, and promote prevention and treatment of cancer through early diagnosis, easy available &affordable treatment options.
