DHARMA OF BHARAT IS EFFECTIVE: ODIYOORU SWAMIJI

Mumbai, August 02: “Our system of Dharma is the reason for our importance in the whole world. Our life will be fruitful through the system of truthfulness, justice and self study”, said Gurudevananda Swamiji of Shree Gurudevadatta Samsthanam Shree Dattaguru Veeranjaneya Swami Kshetra Odiyooru.

He spoke these words while inaugurating the 16th anniversary celebration of Maharashtra Unit of Shree Gurudeva Seva Balaga by lighting the lamp at the auditorium of Smt. Radhabai T Bhandary of Buntara Bhavana of Kurla (E) on Sunday. He said, “Our independence of selfishness is an unfortunate one. It occupies a place in friendship also. Friendship should be pure. Real friendship is the pure connection of two lives. Dharma is the real friend and real human life can be achieved through love. Let us understand our inner soul and lead our life by showing mutual love towards others”, said Gurudevananda Swamiji.

“Odiyooru Swamiji had been felicitated in a simple ceremony by us about 18 years back, by uniting thousands of devotees at Vasai and made Swamiji sit in a silver chariot. I have been visiting Odiyooru Kshetra since 21 years and his blessing is the reason for my progress. People who believe him have attained best achievements and the whole Vitla village is improved because of this Kshetra”, said Karnire Vishwanatha Shetty.

“People want to have peaceful life. Life will be purified if they get the blessings and guidance of Guru”, said Anni Shetty.

Thyampanna Shetty said, “People should have service thoughts. They should find solutions for the problems themselves. They should do the work provided by the social workers and should not get back anything from them. If people approach saints for solving their problems, they can lead their life happily through their blessings and guidance. It is happy to note that Odiyooru is becoming a best devotional Kshetra”.

“Guru is a person who eradicates darkness in life. The place of Guru has its significance in Hindu religion. Protection of religion and culture is possible through Guru. Odiyooru Swamiji is guiding us in leading our life usefully. Swamiji power is the reason for developing this small village. Odiyooru has been changed as a peaceful centre of devotees”, said Latha J Shetty.

“I have lot of confidence on Odiyooru Swamiji. I am blessed by Swamiji and fortunate to have a seat with him on this dais. I am satisfied that Shree Gurudevananda is the owner of Odiyooru”, opined Shyama Shetty.

Padmanabha Payyada said, “Swamiji has adopted not only Odiyooru but the entire Mumbai. His respect for Tulu language and dedicated services are his best qualities. Let us have his blessings”.

While accepting the felicitation, Sathish Patla said, “I feel happy that I have been felicitated, remembering my contribution to art field. Odiyooru Swamiji is my guru and I am accepting this honor as a token of acceptance of Swamiji’s call to have this honor” and sang Sthuthi.

“People should sacrifice in life and should be satisfied with such sacrifices. Following the guidance of Subash Chandra Bose, I have formed my life with discipline. While going for the programmes of temple, associations, etc. we should not eat the free food simply. We are eating today because of the hard work of people yesterday and should contribute today for future generation and should develop this attitude in them. Odiyoorushree is the avatar of Nithyananda. Have confidence in him and lead your life with purity”, said Kukiyan who is 95 years old.

Freedom fighters, Head of Shree Ambika temple Mald (E) – Narayana T Kukiyan and renowned Bhagavatha Sathish Shetty Patla and founder of Gurudeva Seva Balaga Maharashtra Unit & present president & recently appointed by Maharashtra government as special prosecutor of National Investigation Agency – adv. Kadandhale Parari Prakash L Shetty and Kishori Prakash Shetty couple were felicitated by Swamiji by offering fruits, flowers and manthrakshathe and guests felicitated them by offering fruits, flowers, sovereign, felicitation letters, etc. Swamiji congratulated the talented students of SSC & HSC and distributed prizes to them.

The religious stage programme began with the prayer of saint Shree Mathanandamayi. The President of Balaga – adv. Kadandhale Parari Prakash L Shetty welcomed the gathering and said, “Though this is the 16th anniversary celebration of Maharashtra unit of Shree Gurudeva Seva Balaga, this the 18th service year of the city. We feel happy to say that we have been participating actively in religious and social activities specially. Religious and educational services have been conducting regularly in the Kshetra and worship of cow is also being done here. Shree Kshetra is leading in preserving Tulu language and renovating for developments. The service of Kshetra is highly appreciable and Swamiji is the asset of Tulu people”.
